Release Notes: All About the Admin Portal

Navu 4.5 introduces updates across the Admin Portal, with a new Portal AI, refreshed Questions and Tracking pages, and new weekly reporting emails. These changes focus on improving usability, discoverability, and clarity without altering core product behavior.

Introducing Portal AI

Navu 4.5 introduces the Portal AI, a new AI-powered assistant available directly within the Admin Portal.

The Portal AI is designed to help users understand and configure Navu more easily. It can answer general help and configuration questions, explain settings, and guide users to the correct pages within the portal. It does not answer questions about customer-specific data and cannot take actions on behalf of the user.

Key details:

  • Always visible as a sidebar within the Admin Portal.
  • Read-only and informational. It won’t change the settings itself, but will direct you to the right place.
  • Trained only on Navu product knowledge and documentation. In the future it may be able to answer specific questions about your data, but for now it’s a tool to help you discover that yourself.
  • Available to all users at no additional cost.

Please note that this feature is currently in beta and will continue to improve over time. Your feedback is always appreciated.

Questions Page

The Questions page has been visually refreshed and simplified to make it easier to review and analyze what visitors are asking.

Updates include:

  • Cleaner layout with improved readability
  • More powerful and easier-to-use filtering
  • Clearer visual flags for scanning and prioritization
  • Persistent filters that remain in place when navigating away and returning

These changes make it easier to find patterns and review questions without reconfiguring views each session.

The Questions page has been redesigned to make it easier to understand and find specific topics and question types

Tracking Page

The Tracking page has also been refreshed with a simpler interface and improved filtering.

In addition, Tracking now identifies when traffic is referred by large language models. This includes:

  • Visibility into which LLM referred individual journeys
  • Summary-level reporting on LLM-referred traffic performance
  • Persistent filters for consistent analysis across sessions

This provides clearer insight into how AI-driven discovery contributes to site traffic and engagement.

The Tracking page now shows traffic referred by specific LLMs, and has improved filtering.

Weekly Reporting Emails

Navu now sends weekly reporting emails on Sundays.

These emails summarize notable Sidebar activity from the past week and highlight interesting or high-signal conversations. The goal is to provide a lightweight, recurring snapshot of how visitors are engaging with the Navu Sidebar without requiring users to log into the portal.

Navu 4.5 represents our continued commitment to improving the Admin Portal experience with clearer navigation, simpler workflows, and better visibility into how visitors engage with the Navu Sidebar. These updates are designed to make Navu easier to understand and manage as we continue to iterate on more advanced capabilities.

Please reach out with any questions, ideas, or feedback! We take your opinions very seriously and incorporate them into every new release.
