Navu 4.7 includes improvements to AI answer generation, performance, onboarding, integrations, and APIs. Here’s what’s new:
AI Engine and Performance
New Orchestration Engine and Navu-Search
Navu has fully re-engineered how AI answers are generated including a new orchestration engine and full-featured RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). This improves answer speed and gives us tighter control over how content is selected and assembled.
These are the big three changes to our answering technology in 4.7:
- A new orchestration engine
- A redesigned RAG system
- Navu-Search, our updated content retrieval layer
Smarter Content Weighting
One of the benefits of navu-search is that we now use sophisticated weighting of content to improve RAG results to focus on what is most important in a given context.
Instead of treating all indexed content equally, the system prioritizes content based on context and importance. This improves answer precision and lays the groundwork for future audience-specific content silos.
Faster AI Answers
We have updated to the very latest AI models, with Google Gemini 3 Flash now acting as our primary provider.
Combined with the new orchestration and retrieval systems, AI response times have roughly doubled.
Faster Index Removals
Previously, obsolete content could take over a day to be removed from the index. Removals now happen quickly and predictably, giving teams better control over what Navu can reference.
Onboarding and Visibility
Real-Time Slack Notifications
Teams using Slack can now choose a channel where Navu posts a message each time a question is asked on their website.
This makes it easier to monitor buyer questions, identify content gaps, and share insights internally.
Rebuilt Onboarding Process
For new users, the onboarding experience has been rebuilt to focus on ease and clarity. It now includes:
- A structured onboarding checklist
- Weekly checklist reminders during trials
- A new portal page where customers can view and update progress
This helps trial users get started faster and evaluate more thoroughly.
Content and Platform Improvements
Improved PDFs
We have made multiple improvements to how we handle PDFs, including both the titles and screenshots that we automatically select.
Customer API Enhancements
A new endpoint has been added to the Customer API to provide access to conversation metrics.
This makes it easier to pull rollup data into dashboards and analyze engagement over time.
