We’ve rolled out several powerful updates in our 3.12 release designed to improve visibility into visitor behavior, increase sidebar engagement, and enhance your ability to capture leads seamlessly.
Visitor Profiles
Each visitor’s tracking page now includes a new Profile section. This is an AI-generated summary of what Navu has learned about that visitor, based primarily on their conversation with the assistant.
These summaries offer immediate context, helping you better understand your audience and personalize your outreach.
Citation Section Enhancements
Navu has improved the context displayed when hovering over citation cards. You will now see which section of the website the content is from—such as Blog or Products—based on your configured Page Groups.
If you’re using Zendesk for Help Center content, those citations will display “Help Center” by default unless a Page Group label is set for those URLs.
Conversation Initiation
For Navu users who want to encourage more engagement with the Sidebar, you can now enable proactive conversation initiation under Sidebar > Guide.
When this setting is on, the assistant will wait a randomized amount of time after detecting visitor activity before starting a conversation (assuming the visitor hasn’t initiated one already). If you’ve provided specific conversation initiation messages, the assistant will choose one at random. Otherwise, it will use an internally generated message.
The randomization helps Navu test and optimize the ideal time to initiate conversations. We may offer configuration for this delay in a future update.
Hubspot Redundant Contact Submission
To ensure no leads are lost, Navu now includes a backup mechanism for Hubspot contact submissions.
When a visitor fills out the sidebar Contact form, Navu first attempts to submit the data using the Hubspot JavaScript API. If that fails and your site is connected to Hubspot, Navu will check to confirm whether the contact exists. If it does not, the system will automatically resubmit the contact via the Hubspot Forms API.
This provides added assurance that your leads are being captured reliably.
