Release Notes: Question Collections, Stylish Search

The releases keep coming here at Navu, and our latest one has a lot of customer-centric updates we’re sure you’re going to love.

Navu 3.4 makes it easier than ever to track questions, deliver targeted guidance, and customize your search experience. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

A New Way to Track Questions

You now have a tab in your admin portal entirely devoted to the questions your visitors are asking.

We’ve added a brand-new Questions page in the portal, giving you real-time visibility into the questions being asked on your site. Each entry represents a question/answer pair, and you can filter and search to focus on the ones that matter most. We’ll even cluster them automatically so you can find similar themes.

We’ve also introduced notes—add your own annotations to any question, and then search using those notes (including hashtags) to find relevant questions even faster.

Improved Guide Search Result Layout

Search results in the sidebar are now more flexible and visually engaging! Instead of being limited to a list format, you can now choose from:

  • List view (the classic layout)
  • Grid view (great for visual content like PDFs)
  • Hybrid view (web pages appear in a list, PDFs in a grid)

This is especially useful for PDFs, as their preview images are much clearer than relying on PDF metadata titles.

Content Cards Make a Comeback

Before the Sidebar, Navu offered beautiful messages and guides that showed targeted content cards to specific visitors. With 3.4, we’ve now incorporated those cards directly inside the sidebar.

Created in the Audience page as before, they remain audience-specific but can be added to Everyone if targeting isn’t needed. When enabled, cards rotate at the top of the splash screen and appear in the guide feed once you’ve asked a question. They replace floating/banner guides, though you can still use those instead.

Your opinions and feedback matter immensely to us. If you have something to say, we’d love to hear it!
