While there are a lot of interesting components to these journeys, our customers report that the most valuable and exciting part of this data is to see exactly what questions are being asked on site, and how the AI is answering.
The Sidebar Spotlight series picks out some of our favorite real questions and answers from the Navu website, or select conversations from our customers’ sites (with their consent, of course).
The Context
Languages are a tricky subject for B2B websites. Some opt to do localization into as many regions and languages as possible, some focus on a handful of core languages their customers speak, and some keep things monolingual and rely on the user to provide their own translation.
But however you go about it, it’s critical that your leads are able to find what they’re looking for on your site. Unfortunately, this is an area where traditional chatbots, menus and content strategies often come up short.
We’re proud to work with websites across the world here at Navu, but that means that we’ll sometimes get visitors to our website who speak languages that we don’t… like Latvian, for example.
The following question comes from an anonymous user from Riga, Latvia. They arrived via an email campaign, browsed three pages, and asked four questions in Latvian to the Sidebar. It didn’t miss a beat, answering in our lead’s preferred language and educating them better than if they’d been talking to a real sales representative (sorry, sales team!).

What It Means (Literally)
User Question: “Ok, I understand you’re here to provide personalization. How does that manifest?”

What It Means (Figuratively)
As mentioned above, this was one of four questions asked and answers in Latvian. We’ve omitted the others to keep things short and anonymous, but they were about Navu’s capabilities and how it could be used on the lead’s specific website.
What we love about this particular journey is how intuitive it feels. If we want to sell into other countries, our website should be designed to cater to other languages! And while that would have been extremely cumbersome to implement and maintain in the recent past, the rapid innovation in marketing technology lately has turned it into a no-brainer.
That’s a double edged sword for B2B marketers. It opens up a new realm of possibilities for your website, but it also does so for your competitors. And soon enough the novelty will wear off, your competitors will adapt, and advanced language personalization will become table stakes for your buyers.
